Working with Comments in Excel

Excel Comments are a handy tool to write some things down while working with formulas and data. To add a Comment, right click on a selected cell, choose Insert Comment and enter your text in the Comment box. However, Excel Comments have some restrictions:

• No pictures
• No hyperlinks
• No tables
• Only basic text formatting

To overcome these limitations, use the XLnotes add-in to insert Comments in Excel. XLnotes provides a rich text editor, where you can store formatted text that includes pictures, tables, and hyperlinks. You can also save web pages and files in XLnotes.
