Without entering a license key you can still use the basic version of XLnotes, but you can create a maximum of 15 notes for a single Excel workbook, while you can view and edit any number of previously created notes. There is no time limit for using the Basic version, so it’s ideal for use as a viewer and editor if you don’t need to generate much content.

By purchasing a license key, you can upgrade to a Pro version, which has no limitations.
